Wanna know one of my guilty pleasures?  Finding Black indie movie films on Netflix and Prime Video.   The perfect Saturday night for me would be to snuggle up on the couch in my comfiest pjs and watch at least 3 of them.   Now, keep in mind, I’m a Lifetime movie marathon type of girl, so the more dramatic, the better.  Imagine my excitement when my faves over at Lemon-Lime Light Media sent over the trailer for an upcoming film entitled “Dear Frank”.  

The film’s main characters are played by Brian White, Claudia Jordan, and Columbus Short.  Now, my extensive research has shown that when Brian White is in a Black indie film, shit is about to get good.  So at this point I’m already sold if I can be honest.  Brian plays a successful business man named Frank who has been happily married for 20 years to Beth (Jordan).  At their anniversary party, Beth appears to fall ill and faints.  Ultimately, Beth passes away after being poisoned at the party.  

Frank is now left to grieve the love of his life.  He ends up finding Beth’s diary and decides to read it.  In it, he finds detailed of her secret infidelities and transgressions, including a list of her secret lovers.  Fueled by rage and heartbreak, Frank goes on the hunt for answers but that eventually turns fatal.

“Dear Frank” is slated to hit theaters in November 2019, and I cannot wait.   Check out the trailer below to see for yourself.
