In a surprise twist of events, Chris Brown has entered a rehab facility.  His rep released the following statement to E! News today:

“Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility. His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point.”

This announcement comes just one day after he was released from a Washington D.C. jail, after being arrested for a felony assault charge.  Chris went before the judge yesterday, and the charge was dropped to a misdemeanor simple assault.  Chris is due back in court on November 25th. I’m so glad that he is seeking help.  I’m not sure exactly what is going on with him as far as drug/alcohol abuse, but it’s quite obvious that he is battling some demons.  I hope that this helps and that the people around him will truly encourage him to complete the program and get back on track.
