There has been an interesting turn of events in Florida this week.  Dr. Shiping Bao, the medical examiner in the Trayvon Martin case, has been fired and is now suing the state for ethnic discrimination and wrongful termination.  His attorney, Victor Swift, says that Bao is being blamed for mistakes in the state’s case against Zimmerman.  He says that Bao was told that his reason for termination was “poor communication”.

In the lawsuit, Dr. Bao also alleges that Florida state prosecutors were biased in the case and purposely threw the trial.  He says that the state atorne’s office and Sanford Police Department felt that Martin “got what he deserved”.  Adds Bao’s legal counsel Willie Gary, “He in essence was told to zip his lips”.

Coincidentally, just a few days ago George Zimmerman’s estranged wife, Shellie Zimmerman, called police to her father’s house.  She told them that psycho neighborhood watch murderer George threatened them with a gun and she feared for her life.  Hours later, after speaking to her attorney, she changed her story. She said she never saw a gun and that she and her father, whom she said Zimmerman had punched in the face, had no interest in pressing charges.

Just a week before that, she filed for divorce.  She claimed that George was now selfish and felt invincible, now more than ever.
